The Equality and Human Rights Commission published the Is Scotland Fairer? 2018 report today.
The report looks at progress towards greater fairness and equality in Scotland, showing that there has been some progress in making Scotland fairer over the past three years. However, the report suggests that serious challenges still remain. The evidence presented in this report shines a light on society’s biggest equality and human rights challenges for the years ahead, and includes recommendations identify what actions need to be taken to ensure everyone has a fair chance in life.
Is Scotland Fairer? 2018 includes a section on our education system, and the poverty-related attainment gap, and generally provides a very interesting read for anyone living here in Scotland.
