The Scottish Parliament’s Education and Skills Committee have launched an inquiry into the experiences of 3 to 7 year olds of STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Their inquiry will explore the extent to which STEM subjects are included at schools for those aged 3-7, whether teachers have the skills to teach STEM subjects and the successes of different STEM initiatives across Scotland. Technology is changing at an unprecedented rate, resulting in the growing need to develop Scotland’s expertise in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. NPFS continue to be represented on the Scottish Government’s STEM advisory board. We would love to hear your thoughts of any experiences of STEM for your children in their school. Based on your opinions, we will be submitting a short response of any successes along with any recommendations.
