The 5th annual John Byrne National Drawing Competition is now open and pupils from Primary 4 through to S3 across Scotland are invited to enter.

In partnership with Education Scotland, the competition aims to encourage young people to use their creativity and imagination through drawing. Since its launch in 2014, over 12,000 pieces of artwork have been submitted to be judged by the renowned artist and playwright himself, John Byrne. The overall winners and runners-up will have their artwork exhibited at the Tannahill Centre in Paisley.

The closing date for entries is Friday 1 March 2019.
