The Scottish Government is currently consulting on how schools should be funded in the future. They are very keen to hear from parents and to help have provided us with the two page summary of the consultation that you can read by clicking below.

John Swinney, Education Secretary and Deputy First Minister attended the National Parent Forum of Scotland quarterly meeting for volunteers on Saturday 30th September, and once more our volunteers expressed to him the difficulties for parents in engaging with Government consultations. Mr Swinney assured the forum  that he is committed to meaningful consultation and is open to ideas on how best to achieve this.

The consultation closes on October 13th and all of the details are below. Our Chair Joanna Murphy reminds parents that Scottish Government will accept your response in any format. Feel free to answer one question, answer them all or send them your thoughts without feeling you have to directly tie them to the questions.
