Additional Support Needs Update

The National Parent Forum has been working with Scottish Government to develop information for Parent Councils about how they can involve and represent parents of children with additional support needs. As a result of NPFS discussions with Enquire (Enquire is the Scottish Advice Service for Additional Support for Learning) and Scottish Government, some updated information has been put on the Enquire website ā€“ including how to contact the Additional Support for Learning Officers in each local authority, and a one-page summary on Steps to avoid and resolve disagreements ā€“ http://enquire.org.uk/20100622/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/steps-to-resolving-disagreements.pdf
You can also read an article from NPFS in the Enquire April newsletter for parents and carers –
Parents can contact Enquire for independent and impartial advice ā€“ www.enquire.org.uk, telephone helpline 0845 123 2303, or info@enquire.org.uk
