Public consultation on proposed changes to the way in which schools are inspected in Scotland

Bill Maxwell, buy HM Senior Chief Inspector at HMIE, here has today launched a public consultation on proposed changes to the way in which schools are inspected in Scotland. The inspectorate are keen to get the views of all stakeholders involved in the process.

The consultation period runs from 23 September 2010 to 17 December 2010.  HMIE will then analyse feedback and provide a response by February 2011.  The new inspection framework will be piloted during the summer term of 2011 with full implementation from September 2011.
